Zdawalni Terms of Service

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The binding version is the Polish one: Regulamin (PL).

In force from 6 November 2026 (previous version: 31 October 2026)

§ 1. Who runs the Service

  1. The Zdawalni service (formerly Skrót BM), available at zdawalni.pl (formerly skrotbm.pl; the old address redirects to the new one) (the “Service”), is run by Bartłomiej Kowalczyk, ul. Ogrodowa 23, Wołczkowo, a natural person carrying out unregistered business activity within the meaning of art. 5 of the Entrepreneurs' Law (Prawo przedsiębiorców) (the “Seller”).
  2. Contact: zdawalni.support@gmail.com.
  3. The Service is an independent project. It is not run by the University of Szczecin, is not affiliated with the university, and its content is not approved by the university or by the lecturers.
  4. A consumer is a natural person making a purchase that is not directly connected with their business or professional activity.

§ 2. What we offer

  1. The Service provides its own study materials for 1st-year Business Management students: summaries, notes, key terms, flashcards, quizzes, plain-language explanations, and a list of assignments and deadlines (the “Content”).
  2. The Content is the Seller's own work. The Service does not publish lecturers' presentations, course scripts or other materials in their original form.
  3. The Content is a study aid. It does not replace classes, lectures or the materials indicated by lecturers, and it does not guarantee passing a course or any particular exam result.
  4. Free of charge, after logging in with your e-mail, you can browse the list of materials and the first material in each subject.
  5. Trial period. Each person may try full Access free of charge once, for 3 days (72 hours from activation). You start the trial period yourself, with the “Try it free for 3 days” button or by creating an account in trial mode. It does not require a card or any payment, and when it ends we charge nothing and nothing is switched on automatically: your account returns to the free version described in point 4, and your progress is kept. The trial period is available once per person: one per account, e-mail address and device; it is not available to people who have already had paid Access. During the trial period the same rules apply as for paid Access (§ 3 and § 6). Creating additional accounts to extend the trial period is a breach of these Terms.
  6. Full access to all Content is paid (“Access”). The class timetable and the mailbox for the year's supervisor at plan.skrotbm.pl remain free.
  7. Access includes the “My materials” feature: you can upload your own file (e.g. notes or a presentation), and the Service will prepare a study summary, flashcards and a quiz from it using an AI model from Anthropic. Upload only files you have the right to use, and do not upload other people's personal data. The limit is 2 files per day and 40 files per month. The text of the file is sent to the AI only for the time needed to prepare the summary and is not stored; we store the finished summary, which is visible only to you. The summary is created by AI, so it may contain mistakes.
  8. To use the Service you need an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript enabled and an e-mail address you have access to.

§ 3. Account and logging in

  1. Your account is created automatically the first time you log in with a code from an e-mail. By creating an account you accept these Terms and acknowledge the privacy policy; you see information about this below the login form.
  2. You log in with a one-time 6-digit code sent to the e-mail address you provide (valid for one hour), or with a password that the User can set after logging in with a code. You must not share your password with anyone.
  3. Access is assigned to the e-mail address the buyer is logged in with at the time of purchase. It is personal and intended for personal use. You must not share login codes, your password or the Access itself with other people, or resell it.
  4. One account means one person. You can use your account on up to 3 of your own devices (e.g. a phone, a laptop, a tablet). A device you do not use for 60 days disappears from the list automatically. You can remove a device from the list yourself (More → Your devices) once every 30 days; in justified cases, e.g. after losing your phone, write to the address in § 1.
  5. At any one time the account works on one device. When you open the Service on another device, you will be asked whether to move your studying to that device; the previous device will then be paused.
  6. To protect Access from being shared, the Service records the list of devices assigned to the account (device and browser name, IP address, dates of use) and changes of devices. Your e-mail address is visible on the pages of the Service and on printed cheat sheets.
  7. If the account is used in a way that suggests it is being used by several people (e.g. frequent taking over of the session between devices or frequent adding of new devices), the Seller may send a warning by e-mail. If the breach is repeated or obvious (e.g. reselling Access), the Seller may block Access. A blocking decision is made by a human, not automatically; you can appeal against it by writing to the address in § 1, and we will reply within 14 days.
  8. You can delete your account at any time yourself (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by writing to the address in § 1. Deleting the account ends the Access; a monthly plan is cancelled immediately, and we do not refund the unused period.

§ 4. Price, duration and payment

  1. Access can be bought in one of two plans, which you choose before paying: the plan until the end of the 2nd semester for 199 zł (one-time payment) or the monthly plan for 35 zł per month. The Seller is not a registered VAT payer. Prices are final – we do not add any extra charges.
  2. The plan until the end of the 2nd semester runs from the day of purchase until the end of the 2nd semester (summer semester) of the 2026/2027 academic year, that is until the end of the summer exam session, 11 July 2027 inclusive, regardless of the day of purchase. Access does not cover the September resit session. A purchase made after 11 July 2027 covers the following academic year, until the end of its summer exam session. This is a one-time payment: Access does not renew automatically and we do not charge any further fees without a new purchase.
  3. The monthly plan is a subscription renewed automatically every month, counting from the day of purchase. We charge the 35 zł fee in advance for each following month to the card provided at purchase, until cancelled. You can cancel the subscription at any time, without giving a reason and at no extra cost, with the “Manage subscription” button in the Service (More → Account & access) or by writing to the address in § 1. After cancellation we do not charge any further fees, and Access works until the end of the month already paid for. If the next fee cannot be charged, Access expires at the end of the paid month.
  4. Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. In the plan until the end of the 2nd semester the available methods include BLIK and payment card (also via Apple Pay and Google Pay), and in the monthly plan payment card (also via Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not store payment card details.
  5. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. Access is activated automatically after Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds.
  6. We send a confirmation of purchase to the e-mail address provided when paying. On request we issue a bill (rachunek) or other confirmation of sale (we do not issue VAT invoices).

§ 5. Right of withdrawal from the contract

  1. A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving a reason, by sending an unambiguous statement to the address in § 1. You can use this template: “I withdraw from the contract for the purchase of access to the Zdawalni service concluded on [date]. Account e-mail address: [address].” Using the template is not mandatory.
  2. The Service delivers the Content immediately after purchase. If, before paying, you tick your consent to the delivery of the Content starting before the withdrawal period expires and confirm that you are aware you will lose the right of withdrawal, you will not have that right (art. 38(1)(13) of the Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta)). You tick the consent in the Service before going to payment; we record its wording, the date and the account e-mail address.
  3. The right of withdrawal also applies to the monthly plan and is counted from the day the subscription is purchased. Independently of this, the subscription can be cancelled at any time on the terms set out in § 4.
  4. After an effective withdrawal we refund the money within 14 days of receiving the statement, using the same method that was used to pay.

§ 6. Copyright and rules of use

  1. The Content and elements of the Service (texts, quizzes, layout, graphics, code) are protected by copyright. Purchased Access grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Content solely for your own personal study, for the duration of Access.
  2. In particular, the following are prohibited: copying and publicly sharing the Content (including in groups, on cloud drives and in messaging apps), reselling it, bulk downloading (scraping), circumventing the Service's security measures, disrupting its operation, and attempting to access other people's accounts or data.
  3. If you believe that any content in the Service infringes your rights (e.g. you are a lecturer or an author), write to the address in § 1. We will review the report without delay and remove the content if necessary.
  4. Access includes games with questions from the subjects and an optional year ranking. A nickname in the ranking must not be offensive or impersonate another person; the administrator may remove it. Results and points obtained by cheating (e.g. by interfering with the operation of the Service) may be cancelled.

§ 7. Complaints

  1. If the Service does not work or there is a mistake in a material, report it using the “Report an error” button next to the flashcard or question, or by e-mail to the address in § 1. In your complaint, give the account e-mail address and a description of the problem.
  2. We respond to complaints within 14 days.
  3. A consumer has the rights arising from the Consumer Rights Act in the event that digital content or a digital service is not in conformity with the contract.
  4. A consumer may use out-of-court methods of resolving disputes, including help from the municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or the Voivodeship Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (WIIH) (information: uokik.gov.pl).

§ 8. Availability and liability

  1. We try to make sure the materials are correct and consistent with what is taught in class, but they may contain mistakes. The lecturers' materials and requirements are decisive.
  2. Technical breaks may occur (maintenance, failures, actions of external providers). Where possible, we announce planned breaks in advance on the home page. Technical breaks are not a failure to perform the contract, as long as they do not last excessively long.
  3. The Seller is liable for providing the service in accordance with the contract and the law. Towards consumers, we do not exclude liability to the extent the law prohibits this. Towards persons who are not consumers, we limit liability to actual damage, up to the amount of the price paid, to the extent permitted by law.
  4. The Seller is not responsible for the results of exams and course assessments.

§ 9. Referral programme

  1. A person with paid Access (a free trial alone is not enough) may create one referral code in the Service (More → Refer & earn). Taking part in the programme is voluntary and free of charge.
  2. If another person enters this code when buying Access in the plan until the end of semester 2 (one-off 199 zł) and pays, the code owner is entitled to a reward of 30 zł for that person. The price for the buyer does not change. Buying the monthly plan does not give a reward.
  3. No reward is due for your own purchase (from the same account or e-mail address). Each buyer can use a referral code only once. A code stops working when its owner's Access expires.
  4. The reward becomes payable 14 days after the purchase. If by then the payment is refunded or disputed with the payment operator (chargeback), no reward is due.
  5. The Seller pays out payable rewards by BLIK or bank transfer to the details the code owner gives in the Service, within 30 days of the day the reward became payable and the payout details were provided.
  6. It is forbidden to refer in a misleading way, to send unsolicited messages (spam), to impersonate the university or the Seller, and to create accounts or make purchases only to obtain a reward. In such cases the Seller may remove the code and refuse the reward for the referrals concerned; you can appeal by writing to the address in § 1.
  7. The reward may be taxable income of the code owner; settling it is the code owner's responsibility.
  8. The Seller may end the referral programme by announcing it in the Service at least 14 days in advance. Rewards for purchases made before the programme ends will be paid out under paragraphs 4 and 5.

§ 10. Final provisions

  1. The rules for processing personal data are described in the privacy policy.
  2. We may change these Terms for important reasons, such as a change in the law, a change in the scope or way the Service operates, or requirements of the payment operator. We will inform you of a change by e-mail at least 14 days in advance. Changes do not worsen the terms of Access that has already been paid for.
  3. In matters not covered by these Terms, Polish law applies, in particular the Civil Code (Kodeks cywilny) and the Consumer Rights Act. A consumer does not lose the protection granted to them by mandatory provisions of law.
